School Philosophy
Japan Culture Academy Osaka aims to develop people with a rich humanity who can play an active role in global society through language education. Our basic philosophy is to contribute to the creation of a society with respect for many cultures.
Every culture has its own unique meaning and value, and the existence of each culture is itself something that must be respected. Understanding the cultures of others means recognizing one’s own culture, comparing it with the cultures of others, and going through the process of re-recognizing one’s own culture. Through this recognition of cultural diversity, our school hopes to become a place of learning for creative culture creation through the fusion of Japanese culture and other cultures.
Learning Goals
1. Improvement of the four skills
For learners whose mother tongue is not Japanese, we teach the four skills of Japanese – reading, listening, speaking, and writing – and improve their skills from Japanese as knowledge to Japanese as usable language.
2.
Development of the ability to think
By experiencing Japanese culture, students can experience the differences between their own culture and that of Japan, and develop their ability to think for themselves. The essence of a multicultural society is to be able to be both a receiver of other people’s cultures and a sender of one’s own culture, and to be able to act in a symbiotic society by using one’s own mind.
3.
Diverse classroom activities
Learning with students from outside your own country promotes multicultural understanding. We encourage students to deepen their understanding of and respect for others through field trips, speech contests, and other activities.
4. Respect for individuality
We respect the various personalities and aptitudes of our students, and help them to achieve their future goals and acquire the necessary level of academic knowledge.
